This past weekend, YumDealz took a meaningful step forward. We launched at our very first market: the Kirstenhof Community Market in Cape Town.

Markets have always been a cornerstone of local life. They’re where small businesses thrive, where neighbours meet, and where communities come alive with energy, creativity, and connection. It’s the kind of space we’ve always wanted YumDealz to be part of, and now we are.

Why Markets?

At YumDealz, we’ve always believed loyalty should be simple, fun, and rewarding—not just for customers, but for the small businesses that keep communities vibrant. Until now, our focus has largely been on cafés, restaurants, and everyday retailers. But community markets bring something else to the table: diversity, authenticity, and heart.

By launching YumDealz in markets, we're making it easier for small vendors—from food stalls to crafters—to reward their customers, build repeat business, and stand out in busy market environments. No complicated systems, just a tap, a stamp, and a reason to return.

Watching people stamp their YumDealz cards, collect rewards, and connect with vendors reminded us why we built this platform in the first place—to make local loyalty seamless and meaningful.
